My father was a commercial electrician. He had the same sawzall for years with no problems, even after it fell 40' off scaffolding several times. It was tossed around for 25 years and still works today.
I received a newer model sawzall as a gift from my family, with a removable power cord, ( I recommend it) and after 10 years of constant use it works as good as new.
I now have added a circular saw, 1/2 inch hammer drill, 1/2 inch 18volt drill/driver, a chop saw and a portable band saw to the collection.
Anyone that wants tools that will "stand-up" to hard service needs Milwaukee Power Tools
